Electronic Invisibility: The Advantage of Stealth
Resources
The invisible electronic footprint of IPCopper packet capture appliances achieves better security, simpler installation and more effective operation as a network recording device. IPCopper is easy to install on any network, requiring no configuration or change to the network’s topology. The appliances use neither an IP address nor a MAC address, keeping their network presence hidden from anyone searching out devices on a network.
The packet capture appliance’s stealthiness presents many benefits:
- IPCopper is unaddressable, meaning electronic snoopers cannot elicit any type of response from it that would give away its presence.
- IPCopper’s presence on a network cannot be detected or "sniffed out".
- IPCopper’s presence on a network will not affect its netflow, speed or topology.
- Peace of mind, knowing that the recorded information on IPCopper is safe and secure.
IPCopper’s electronic stealthiness is a unique feature that makes it stand out from other network packet capture appliances. This feature makes IPCopper ideal for placement on any number of networks, for any number of reasons, since installating IPCopper packet capture appliances requires no network changes and its presence will not be noticeable to any network users.
How we do it.
Each IPCopper packet capture appliance utilizes our patent-pending "stealth" technology to unobtrusively, safely and securely communicate with the data retrieval software. The retrieval software does not require IPCopper to maintain either an IP address or a MAC address so that the IPCopper unit can remain electronically invisible, yet is able to establish a secure connection with the IPCopper unit to download your recorded data.
We also provide custom solutions that would allow you to remotely manage and deploy multiple IPCopper units in any configuration of your choice. Like the standard IPCopper units, custom IPCoppers with remote access do not require IP addresses or MAC addresses and remain electronically invisible.
